Hyundai Tucson vs Chevy Equinox - let the guilt begin!

Maybe everyone should stop shopping at Wal mart first who forced every manufacture to china

And by the way 99.8% of your tackle comes from there

This was not brought on soley by auto sales but the american consumer looking for and willing to pay
for cheaper and less quality products

So don't try to blame me that I'm going to lose my job just buy purchasimng a korean auto witch is well built
and good value for my money
Unlike when i bought a new dodge truck in 2002 and the dealer had it more than i did with warranty bugs
and at 50K blew out the head gasklets and had to replace the front end and also my neiighbors hemi at 65k
blew the head gaskets out toasted the engine

And I'm supposed to fell guilty about buying a korean auto.....give me a break

having owned kia and hyundia . Iwould not buy another hyundia,Iwould buy the kia again, They are built sturdier, Yeah the body styles are the same.but ihad less trouble with the kia.

I think a lot of it has to do with government policies that are not friendly to business. High taxes, regulations, etc.

I don't care about the politics, we own one of these two vehicles.

We have a 2010 Equinox LT with the 2.4 in it. My wife absolutly loves it, she gets 27mpg commuting too and from down town Minneapolis, we drove it to grand marais this weekend (600 mile round trip) and it averaged 32.6mpg.....

We now have 61,000 miles on it.... the direct injected engine is louder (injectors tick) but all in all we love the vehicle.

Took our 2012 ford focus to the hyundai dealer to get a trade in value for an Elantra an they wouldnt even look at it...to many issues with the focus titanium they said......so I own a 30g car that I cannot trade or sell and ford wont or cannot fix it....so a korean company wont even look at a 8 month old american car for trade in what does that tell you......B-lou

It is funny, people post that they have 50-60K on a Chevy and somehow that is good without problems. I think you have to add a zero to them to impress with imports. TT

We've only owned it for 2 years (new model came out in 2010 as an fyi).... No plans on selling for 8-10 more years.

My 02 Malibu has 235K on it, and my 99 F350 has 275K, is that legit enough?

I can count on one hand the issues i've had with those two over the combined 510,000 miles. The bu needed a fuel pump @ 186K, that was my first issue....

I expect 150K out of a vehicle before their are issues outside regular maintenance.

I was just in a dealership looking at pricing to possibly update my 10 year old car..... I was quoted $14500 for a 2012 Focus.... How the heck did you end up spending $30K? That's $15K in upgrades....

Look at what a fully loaded (all options) titanium hatchback with the pearl white paint costs then you will see ..(sales tax not included)...also we bought the 100000 mile bumper to bumper extended warranty(2500.00)......good thing on the warranty .........B-lou

I'm wayyyyyy to cheap to even look up that on the website.

Where i'm from the Hyundai and Ford dealer are owned by the same group.... I'm pretty sure they would take it in on trade... Although it doesn't matter what you own you are going to lose your pants trading in an 8 month old vehicle.

And sorry about your problems, the reason I drive an old vehicle is because i don't mind a repair here and there.... Not the case though if i had that invested in a car (like our equinox), i would have a pretty short fuse if i were having a bunch of gremlins with that.
