You might consider the Yar-Craft 186TFX. It is rated for 200hp, and a kicker. The Skeeter MX1825 is sure a nice boat even though it is rated for 200hp 2 stroke only, and 4 stroke only a 150, with a kicker, because of engine weight restriction on the transom. Don't know why Skeeter does not beef up transom to handle the weight issue, it's a wide boat too. Perhaps things will change for the 1825 when Yamaha brings out the Offshore in 200hp (hurry up Yamaha!)

Hey dude. You totally set on glass? Did you price out a bigger aluminum boat since you're set on a brand new one?

I've only had small aluminum and then this big glass boat so not sure if a small glass boat rides like a big aluminum or if big is just big regardless of materials.

That lake you live on scares the bejeezers out of me, but you saw the chumming I did the first day so you know.

2. Skeeter 1850 (I would go with the MX1825 over the WX1850)
3. I would never buy a Stratos - You get what you pay for!!

I too would suggest getting out in all of them for a test ride and check out the ride, features layout, quality and fit and finish for yourself. I do believe that you get what you pay for, there is obviously some reason that a boat with comparable specs is 10 grand cheaper!!
Well, shame on you! Anytime you'd like to take a ride in a Stratos 385xf, I'll be happy to help you eat your words..........

I have a buddy that has a 386 XF, so I have logged quite a few hours in a Stratos, nice boat for the money, but in my experience and opinion not in the same league as a Ranger or Skeeter.

Default Well......

If you haven't been in one of the newer ones, you should really take a look. There is a BIG improvement since the transition to the Flippin plant.

Quite a few of our customers also appreciate the higher HP rating and larger livewell.

Where are those darn Triton guys? Can't beat a 192 Allure. In my opinion, It's the best looking and all around performer out there...

Lol you chummed them in alright. Not sure about a big aluminum I'll do some checking into it. I was just thinking a glass boat would cut through the waves better and get blown around a lot less? I could be wrond maybe the big ones aren't as bad? Like the.price and layout of stratos but the high sides are kind of bugging me. Looks like it can handle some nasty stuff but how is fishing comfort? And control when trolling? Stratos is 10,000 cheaper than the 1860 . I have to.at least check into it

I think that you'll be pleasantly surprised. If you want to take a drive to Northwest Indiana, I'll be happy to take you for a ride.

I do mostly trolling. Does the stratos track pretty well? Does the wind push it around quite a bit? The ranger 1860 is 10,000 more what are the differences? Does one out perform the other in certain areas? Anybody been in both?
