I guess they don't listen much to their pros.

Sorry, K.....they just can't do everything, I guess.
But they do listen to suggestions from Pros....and more.

I doubt any boat line makes more changes in a typical model year than Lund.
The bulk of changes are the results of listening to ideas suggested by Lund consumers, including guides, fishing camps, fishing families, "pros" -- and plain old Average Joe fisherman, too.

I have seen an amazing number of suggestions come to fruition at Lund in the last 20 years.
Who knows what neat ideas next year may bring?

There is just such a wide gap in tillers,Rebel 1650 to the Pro Guides and nothing in between. They got rid of the Explorers but there is still alot of wheels to go around.

Just noticed an added choice in the Boat Builder program. You can now price the boat and trailer package (with no motors or pre-rigs) so you can order just boat and trailer. Remember the Build price is MSRP, not necessarily what dealer will sell it for, unless of course he only sells MSRP!

Never fails...as soon as you buy something, the following year they make an upgrade that would have made you maybe waited for the new upgrades to come out. Oh well. Does anyone really think that going from a 175 to a 200 that there would be a noticeable difference in performance/speed? With my 175 verado it will easily push the boat at 52 mph and performs very well. I wonder how much more speed would be gained if it had a 200 on the back of it though? I doubt much more, but maybe a couple more mph if that.

I see they also renamed it the 186 Pro V Gl. From the pics it looks identical to the same layout as the previous years GL Fisherman, but i could be wrong. Does anyone know with having the "Pro V" in the name of the boat, is the hull construction any different then the previous 186 Gl Fisherman's? I always wondered what was the big difference in what made a "Pro V" so much better, compared to other lund's w/o that name. Is the "Pro V" name suggesting better construction, layout, performance, hull etc?

Eric
The 186 proV GL is not the same hull design as the two bigger versions. It's the same as the old Fisherman GL and Tyee GL.

I see there is an aluminum downrigger bracket listed as an option under the Impacts. Anyone have a picture?

X2!!!!
Just bought mine this year and it definitely needs a 200 Vrod on it. Top end is just fine but it is a dog out of the hole especially if you are going to put two adults and a skier in the water. I'm still in search of the wonder prop to plane this boat out faster!
