Crane Lake MN info

I will be heading to Crane Lake on 6-30 for a 5 day trip. Does anyone have any experience on this lake that might be helpful. Thanks.

I've fished it a couple times and have had good luck. The trick, at least for me, was catching fish big enough to keep. There are (were) plenty of 13-14 inch fish. I had good luck on the west side of the lake, in and near the weed line moving towards the mouths of the 2 streams. Both leeches and crawlers worked for me. Maybe someone else can tell you where to find the big ones. good luck.
