ice fishing rods

Ice fishermen, I need some advice on ice fishing rods for walleyes in Lake Erie. Is there any difference in a rod that costs 16 bucks from one that costs 60 bucks other than the price ? Are the 60 dolar rods worth the cost? Will they make a difference ? It doesn't seem that one 28" rod would be worth that much of a price difference from another one. Any opinions from you dedicated ice guys and gals would be appreciated. Thanks
