It seems that the crappie action is starting to heat up on numerous lakes. Red Lake is producing some nice catches as well as several inland lakes like Gull by Tenstrike. The hours of 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM have produced the most consistent action. Live minnows on a ice fly and a small jigging rapala on the other is working. If you know of a lake with crappies now is the time to give them a try.
