Lateral line?
Trying to keep up with the modern musky anglers I’ve been giving the lateral line quite a bit of consideration lately, and I now have some questions and thoughts. Does the lateral line “feel” better when the lure presentation is more perpendicular to the lateral line? Does the musky loose it’s “radar image” when it is following directly behind a lure? Could this be why most musky strikes occur when the lure first hits the water or again at boat side when the lure direction moves perpendicular to the later line again during a figure 8? If it’s true that they “sense” better to the side could this be why I sometimes see them “curl up” along side of the lure before striking?
Thanks
