Consumer Report Request: MinnKota AP 55/12v vs. 65/24v

I'm planning to upgrade from an ancient 43/12v MinnKota AutoPilot. I'm trying to choose between 55/12v or a 65 24v AutoPilot. I would welcome comments from anyone having experience with either of these models.

There is another issue that play into the decision:

(i) I'm not currently set up for 24v and I'm not sure how much it would cost me to get set up. What will likely need to be changed? Circuit boards? Wiring? Nothing?
