New to This

Thinking about getting started @ Muskie fishing, I have a couple of Ambassador reels, any input on a rod and line would be helpful, have a co-worker moving from Wisc. to Kansas City area and all he is talking about is Muskie fishing I know Lake Pomme De Terre, in Missouri has a tournament every year, thinking about giving it a try.
