Hi,
I was wondering how the Walleye League flight order works after the first event of the season. Do you go out by points standings, or by when you paid? |

You go out by whatever random boat number they give you it changes every event!

do they draw numbers at the meeting or do they have them planned out before the event. Also, do they have splits in the flights or is it all out at once and all in at once. League events only, thanks.

Boat numbers are a random computer draw. Boaters and Non-Boaters are computer paired too.
I don't think they do flights in the one day tournaments. Everyone is due back at the same time...I think. It doesn't take long to get everyone out in the morning. A call to the FLW office would get your answers. I didn't see those particular answers in the League brochure. 270-252-1591 (Sonny's office). Juls |

Maybe the question would have better posed to a wisconsin fisherman. They do seem to have more boats. 100 to weigh in at the same time is alot. Bothering Sonny with such trivial questions seems assinine.

In the Wisconsin league they have two flights -first group 7:00, back at 3:00, second back at 3:30.

Funny, I just spoke with Sonny, and he doesn't think there are ANY "trivial" questions. He's more than happy to talk to the anglers anytime.
Anyway, in response to your question: He said that it depends on the number of boats and the location of the tournaments. For example, if there is a 100 boat field, and it is taking place out of Miller's Bay on Winnebago, they will split the field up into two return flight times (15 minutes apart is what he said, but I think it's probably a 1/2 hour)). They will keep the boats out on the lake after they have checked in with the check-in boat, and bring them in the bay in small groups. This will help keep the fish alive and healthy. If this same 100 boats were on a river location, they would probably all come back at the same time, because the boats can stay staged in the river without hurting the fish. Hope this answers your question. Juls |

I can't remember a Wisconsin League event in the last three years that was not at least two flights... THree flights will get them spaced out 20 minutes...
