planar boards

I hear alot about planar boards, but I know close to nothing about them. Does anyone know of a good book that explains in details the diffrences in boards and how to use them? I dont normally troll, and beleive on tough days it could help me put fish in the boat. I dont even know what an in-line board is, so you can tell I need alot of help.
