I have an older Starcraft. Its a 96 Tournament Pro, fiberglass. I love the boat. Its been nothing but a reliable boat, great to fish out of.

Do any of you run downriggers on the STX?

With the berts tracks that are standard, its as easy as getting a track mount rigger base. I ran cannons off mine.

Holy crap! I've never seen that boat...but man it looks amazing!!! Basically similar lay out to the Ranger Reata 2050 but even a little bigger I think. Very nice! Mind if I ask what that cost new?

The ONLY thing I can see that I think is stupid is the "tracker" styled bait well raised on the platform of the deck. Why the **** they didn't flush mount that is beyond me. It just looks like a big pimple sticking up off the floor...and I'm sure you'd probably trip on it here and there if not paying attention while fighting a fish.

Jinx, the baitwell is high up so a person doesnt have to leave the seat to grab bait.

Having the raised baitwell is a real nice feature.. Very easy to reach.

Default baitwell

I prefer the baitwell raised like it is. Easier to get my minnows. I wouldn't change a thing about the boat. I love it!

I can't find any reason not to get this boat. Everyone I talk to have NOTHING bad to say about it...

IMO, the bait wells are in the right spot, very important to me.
