Default Trailer Tires?

What is the consensus these days for which brand of trailer tires to use to replace my 9 year old 15" made in USA Marathons? I am sure this has been covered many times, but I want to make sure. I need 4 tires.

I put a set of Maxxis on this spring. A search on the web showed a bunch of positive comments from RV and travel trailer sites. It is way too early for me to speak to longevity but hoping for 9 years out is asking for trouble. Not worth risking a blow out from a dryrot tire. I got the Maxxis tires put on for about $100 per tire. Replace every five years for $20 a tire cost is cheap vs. potential results of a trailer blow out at highway speed.

HI. I would like to know how you get your tires replaced every 5 years for 20 bucks each?

He's figureing $20 per year per tire for 5 years. That equals a tire cost of $100 per tire every 5th year. In other words, put 20$ per tire in a jar each year and at the end of 5 years you'll have enought to buy a new set.

Tires are NOT made to last 9 years. Car or trailer!
