I thought I had a perfect set up until someone told me different, I have a 300 Verado on a 208 lund Gl, run a 21 ptich tempest. I was told A rev 4 would perform better. I rarely run under 57 full gear and 3 guys but run 60+ barely wide open. I am on the high end of rpm but never go over, whole shot is average, I was told I should get more speed. to get my current speed I have to trim to a point of porpusing then backk off.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

I would suggest going for a ten mile jaunt in my rig at 33mph wide open....then take a ride in your current set up....you'll feel like if you went any faster you'd travel back in time.
I seriously have no suggestions....I just have sarcasm ![]() Good luck |

Too funny, seems petty to want a little more speed but no one ever accused a fisherman normal anyway. Good one!

I am running a 22 bravo one fs. I get 59 all day long and it is great in choppy water. I am only running 5900 rpm. I will get my prop reworked over the winter to a 21 and I am sure 61 or 62 will be possible. I seem to run faster with a full livewell????

Thanks for the information. I run at different elevations and with big loads. I have 5 batteries and sometimes run three guys and full live wells even at take off. Carry lots of chubs and other bait on occasion. It seems to run the same maybe a mile an hour different. This whole prop thing started when a good friend of mine who runs a Yar craft with a 250 verado with a five blade prop, he saids he never runs under 60? and has hit 67gps speed. I just asked to borrow his prop but can never hook up cause he works on the oil rigs.
