Default Are there any walleye clubs in Southern WI?

Are there any walleye clubs in southern WI? It would be awesome to meet other fisherman and swap stories and perhaps collaborate on a fishing excursion or two. For whatever reason, almost NONE of my good friends fish (Thank god for my brother-in-law), and subsequently I have very few people with whom I might ramble about the cool new stuff in the Cabela's catalog or discuss why I should have trolled when I was anchoring and jigging or why I am an idiot for tying crappy knots on occassion.

I waited until my son turned 4, and then bought myself a new Alumacraft this year. Now I can actually get out and fish! (If the wife lets me.....)

There's a great club called Walleyes Unlimited.

http://www.walleyesunlimitedusa.org/

Many people who frequent this site and are from the area belong.

If you make it to the Nov. 10th meeting make sure to find Lund Dude and Myself and say hi. You'll find this club to be fun and informative, that's their mission. People are willing to share, you'll find that out right away when they give fishing reports.

If you can come out to the next meeting, I will get you a guest pass for free admission. Just leave me your real name and I will have it at the door for you. Feel free to e-mail the info to me too.

Eric
P.S. Make sure that Sunshine buys you a beer, it is a club tradition that he buys new members the first one ;-)

Well, I am set to join. Thanks again for the info. Won't be able to come to any meetings for a while. I work 2nd shift monday thru friday. I will be switching to first shift soon. Looking forward to talking walleyes and maybe meeting some guys who want to go out every once in a while. For the last 8 years or so the majority of my fishing was consolidated to a week long trip to Cass Lake Minnesota for opener every year and for 8 years I lived to fish for that week. I finally told myself that I wasn't going to let life pass me by anymore. I work hard. I had a lot of great guidance from Frank at Marine Pros in Whitewater. Bought myself a nice boat and now I hope to become a better angler so I can show my son who is boss on the water by the time he is old enough to cast a spinning rod (He is almost 4).

As of now, almost all of my fishing has been done alone as I can't talk anyone into going out. Subsequently that leaves a lot of extra room in an 18 foot boat.

If any of you guys are still going out this year and are willing to take on a 32 year old with his own boat, I will provide the beverages and the bait. I always catch my own bait (that at least I have been doing good at) and I can easily come up with 2 to 3 dozen red-tails with a day or two notice. (In fact, my livewell is full of 3 inch to 6+ inch red tails as we speak. Got myself up and tried fishing Pine Lake in Waukesha County this AM from 4am to 2pm.)

Again, thanks for the information and your time.

Andre
