Default Omaha NE area fishing spots

Just found out I will be moving to Omaha in the coming months..... Right in the middle of prime spring fishing.

Hoping you guys can lift my spirits and assure me there are some good spots to chase Walleye, Bass, Crappie in the Omaha Area?

Any input on some good places to try would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Walleye - no
Bass - Yes
Crappie - Yes
Don't forget catfish - Yes

For walleye you are 1-2.5 hours away from the nearest good walleye fishery, Branched Oak in Lincoln (1 hour), Lewis and Clark in Yankton, SD(2.5 hours), Or Lake Icaria in Iowa (1.5 hours).

For bass many local lakes have them, Walnut Creek, Wherespan, Standing Bear, Cunningham was redone a few years ago and the fish are getting some size. Ditto on this for the crappie.

Catfish, we are right by the Missouri River, The Platte River, or if you want to just catch catfish on a hot summer night, head to Two Rivers State Park and they have a catch and release only pond with some big kitties in there.

You can feel free to bug the guys here too.

I would assume u could do the same as me in Sioux City. When I didn't have time to go anywhere casting shad raps silver an black also jigs on the front or back of wing dams can get you some eyes or sauger to.

The best fishing near Omaha is anywhere in South Dakota or Kansas.

I PM'ed you a little while ago and then remembered something. A friend of mine fishes the Iowa side and seems to do just fine. We do have options around here for a fisherman willing to learn the methods required.

I have a buddy in Omaha who does well on eyes in the area. I'm not familiar with the lakes there, but there are opportunities.
