Default Fox and Wolf Rivers

Went out to fish for walleyes on friday morning though afternoon. Fished from mouth of Winnebago to the wolf river in Fremont. No reports of any walleyes being caught anywhere in the whole system. Talked to other boaters and everyone said that they hadnt even seen a fish the whole day except for those swimmin in their bait buckets.

Fish are there, but you have to work for them.
Some nice females and alot of males (milkers).

Default RE: Fox and Wolf Rivers

Fished wolf river near cable crossing sun. from 1-7pm. Three fish in boat. Largest 21" female spawned out and 2 males full of milk. Watched dozens of fish in a half hour period go past us in 2 ft of water going up the lil wolf and actually saw a very large fat walleye(my estimate 30" plus") swim behind boat, moving up stream in 3-4 ft increments continueing until out past the fallen tree blockage were we anchored for awhile. None of these fish would bite! We caught all three fish in the main channel of the wolf! There a still alot of fish still heading up river. This year will be like last year were there will be no major spawn period but a more spreadout spawning period! The best is still to come on the wolf!
