I thought it was great - here's my pictures from the Chicago Show. I just want to be able to take out more than 6 people for watersports (at certain times)

That skeeter does look nice but seating capacity is only 6 and is quite expensive compared to stratos 386 xf or triton allure 186. Triton allure 186 and stratos 386 xf seem to be best value in either aluminum or glass. I guess it depends on your price range what's nice though.

Don't those only have seating capacity of 6 as well?

Gotcha. That's different than seating capacity.

I know the allure 186 I looked at has 5 seat bases and 2 jump seats in the cockpit. Tight but you could do it with small kids.

Only one thing that would stop me from buying the Solera. I always garage my boats. Have a standard 7 foot high overhead door. Take away an inch for trim leaves me 83 inches clearance. The Solera is listed at 87 inches on trailer while a Lund 189 GL is listed at 82 1/2 inches. Also the Lund is rated at 200 and the Solera at 175 and is 200 pounds heavier than the Lund. 2100 and 2300 pounds.

remember when you load these rigs heavy your motor and prop is key. You max hp and 4 or 5blade is a must! i run 2 props on my 206 a 5 blade for heavy loads and skiing.A 4 blade bravo for speed i put the 5 on for the dog day's of summer 4th of july till about labor day then the 4 is back on. the boat runs flat with the 5 perfect for skiing mt 2 cent's

Anymore thoughts on this boat? It does seem to be really well thought out and they've built on so many of the improvements of similar boats in recent years. It does seem very similar to the 386 in particular. It's hard to tell, but with so much that comes standard on the Solera, the 386 could very well be at that same price by the time you equip it similarly. And the Solera would likely have higher resale value.

I like the single axle trailer. I also like the dual seat bases on the rear casting deck that look like you could have two chairs up there at the same time back-to-back.

The only thing that looks a bit weird is the bow filler piece. I'll be looking to see how easy that goes in and out.

I hope to check out both in person this weekend.

Thank you, wow. I really like it. I may have to find one in person to go check out.
