Default 2012 175 Navigator sport high rise top

Can anyone out there share some pictures of their 175 nav or competitor sport with the Alumacraft high rise top installed.

I've got a 2012 naviagtor and the alumacraft high rise top just doesn't look right. Before I started the install it looked too narrow. After getting the side brackets installed and the arms screwed in it just looks bad. It's functional but looks wrong. In my opinion it should be about 5 inches wider. The arms are not flush with the gunwale sides when stowed. Every bimini I've seen sits flush against the side walls.

So maybe I'm doing something completely wrong. Boat is great but this does look like it was designed properly.

Post a picture of yours up and in the down position so people can see what's going on or maybe a model number and people can check there's for you. I have the Dominator in 185 and my top sits barely on the gunwhales but my buddy with a 185 Trophy..his rests inside on the floor. Both our tops are from Alumacraft and both are 2011 Models.

Couple pics to show how mine is mounted and the deflection from the side.

I have not finished setting everything up on this yet since I can't fully raise it up in the garage. If it's not raining tomorrow I will roll it out and finish.

Looks about right to me. Measured the width of the mounts from the top hanging in a relaxed position from the ceiling and it measures about 75 inches. Then measured the width of my mounts on the gunwhales ...about 75 inches. I have about the same deflection inwards as you and my mounts pretty much line up with the very start of the windshield curve from the rear. Hope it helps some. Not sure of where the windshield width in relation to the gunwhales is on your Nav.

Thanks for the reply. I'll get it finished up later today and see how it all lines up. Good news is it's not a permanent install. 2 thumb screws and I can take it out for the times I know I won't need it.

Pictures of it fully installed.

Of course it rained while I was working on it.

Looks like it all came together good. I've only had mine out on the water on a few hot days but man I wish I'd bring it more often when the weather looks sketchy. Gotten soaked the last few times out. It would've definately helped..lol

Just going to pick up a 175 competitor sport with the bimini top installed. Can you run full speed with this thing on? Man it sure would be nice in the rain. I have always had a single console so this is new to me.

No problem running wide open with the top up, might slow you down a few mph and drink a little more gas, but it will be nice and warm and dry!!
