I ordered my 1900 with bunks, previous boat had rollers in the 22 years I had that boat only really need the rollers once to launch. It reely depends on were your launching at.

I have an older 1950 Tyee I/O. There's never been a time when I thought or said..."Gee, I wish I had a slightly smaller boat."

I also have a roller trailer and like it. I'm sure a bunk trailer would work fine but I like the way mine loads and unloads, very easy, just have to make sure you leave the winch strap connected backing down or pulling out.

You can’t go wrong with the Tyee 1900. I have a Tyee 1850/175 and it’s been an awesome boat for my family and friends. My wife and I mostly fish for walleye out of the boat, but is also a great size to pull kids around on a tube, etc… I think the 1900 will be my next boat too…unless I bump my head and tackle a pro-v one of these days.
I have a single axle bunk trailer. It works fine, but my next boat/trailer combo will be a tandem axle bunk. I don't fish just one lake, so I trailer my outfit most of the summer. I would feel better having the weight distributed across a second axle.

I know we all have seen or read horror stories of folks loading and unloading with all kinds of boat-trailer combos. I have two buddies (that's right not one but two) who unhooked their boats from the winch on a roller trailer way before the water. Needless to say one sold his slightly dinged transom Lund to his brother for a good prices LOL. I am surprised both told me their stories...I guess we all do some stupid stuff once in a while.....I like my bunks on the Baron by the way.

Anymore 1800, 1900, or Crossover owners out there with some more insights into their boat choice?

Last year I was all set, at first, to buy an 1800 Tyee. Then I started looking at the Crossover and liked it better because of the type and location of storage. I feel that the Crossover is better for how I will use it - family tubing / skiing and fishing. I ended up ordering a 2014 1875 Crossover with a 175 Verado. Pick it up in about 6 weeks. I got a bunk trailer.
