X2. That boat is big enough (same size as mine) and it's not like I'm putting my rods away when I switch. I usually have 3-4 rods on the floor and switch back and forth. The only time I'm putting rod socks back on is when I'm done for the day.

Default rod storage

i found that rod tubes can damage your line and eyes on your rods

Most of my musky rods are 7' 6" and I can easily put 4 or 5 in the floor box of my 1880 with no problem at all.

I also installed a hinged door with locks on the top shelf of the port side storage locker which gives even more secure (relatively) storage space.

Default Great boat

Just bought the Skeeter WX1880 in august of 09 and the rod locker was only one of two draw backs for myself. I use rod socks for all my rods and now like the rod locker better than other because the lack of tubes. Still wish the back deck was bigger for casting bass and muskies. Truly a multi-species boat with the ability of family fun skiing and tubing. Great boat.

The Problem I would have with rod socks is Lindy rigs. Sometimes I have Bottom bouncers or other weights with 2 hook lindy rigs pre setup in my rod storage. Same thing with a slip bobber setup. I have tubes in a different boat. The Skeeter is a boat I would look at in the Future. Why would Skeeter not extend the rod storage area between the two consoles. That is the way most boats are set up.
