I do more bass than walleye fishing as that is what is near me and I have no boat... I like cranking Rebel craws. I found a good crawfish jig in the standing yabbie (River 2 Sea). Key is to let it sit for a minute before twitching... If it's early or late in the day I go top water with Spooks or Jitterbugs (Love top water hits). Sometimes it is a senko-like worm Texas rigged...

Love to smallmouth bass fish. Depending on conditions and time of year, I use almost everything from 3" grubs to 1/2 oz. spinnerbaits. Nothing like the fight in a smallmouth.

I do much more bass fishing than walleye as that is the predominate species in lakes that fit into my travel time budget.

I do a lot of drop shotting with green pumpkin 'do-nothing' worms. Anywhere from about 3' to 20' of water. Also had some success with Tennessee Shad colored cranks. Strike King or Cabelas house brand - doesn't seem to make much difference.

In Canada, natural colored cranks and spinnerbaits were hot last September.

I like smallies as well, jig and worm is my bait of choice once a spinner bait or crank finds em. Also like to slip bobber em when the time is right.

Manns 1- awesome bait in the early season. dives just under the surface and is by far the best crankbait i have ever used in shallow weeds.

I like spinnerbaits for smallies here. Other stuff may work better, but they're easy and can go shallow or deep. The last few years the smallie bite on Big Bay has been just stupid. Last year, my wife and I were trying for eyes with cranks, couldn't keep the bass off, they were hitting as the bait was being dropped back. She just quit messing around with boards, let the lure (everything was working, shadraps, huskiejerks, or anything else) straight back. I know we caught well over 50 bass that day.
