Arrow Hey Propmann

A friend of mine just purchased a used 2007 Ranger Reata 1850 with a Mercury 150 OptiMax.

We were wondering what was the best all around prop for this combo and what height the motor should be?

Thanks, Bob

Most are coming from the factory with a Tempest 19 pitch which will run around 5400 rpms, I've also seen them come with Trophy 19 4 blade. We also put on Powertech Ptc 3 18. I believe that there mounted in the 3rd hole.

I have a Ranger 617 with an Opti 150.

Tempest 19 pitch has been a great prop for me.

Another option might be a High Five - 21 pitch though trust me I tried the 19 like the Merc site said and thought it got the RPM"S a bit too high ( great hole shot, tubing and boat control) - con for this prop is it does not go in reverse well.
