lots of fish to sort through at bellevue but there are lots of fish up there. bring minnows though, the reliability of the bait shops up there is suspect.

we fished with gulp and moxies and did well but assume many more fish would of been had with live bait.

Fished lock dam 17 this morning. I would not call it a hot bite but fish were being caught.

water temps low 40's. i'm catchign eyes and saugers like i normally would end of march. don't know what the cold front is going to do with the bite but we are having a pretty good month of walleye fishing.

I think the flood is going to effect them more than the cold front

Looks like the river will be pretty high in the next couple of days .... kinda' like last year .... hoping it will crest fast or at least within a week or so and drop down to something fishable in the main channel.

This is my first attempt at walleye fishing. I usually fish for catfish using cut baits. Not looking for peoples hot spots just a little advice on how and where to start. I put my boat in around the QCA area.
Any advice would be great.
Thanks
Redmary

My advice is to forget about it until the river goes back down.

WINTER go the H-ll away predicting 1-3 inches of snow tomorrow. Good thing I guess is doing some refresh reading on the Minnesota DNR past Walleye, Sauger tagging reports for Pepin.

My new Helix 12 SI Chirp is burning a hole in my dash.
