After seeing some pictures and videos from Mike Borger's recent trip to Miniss Lake I had to bump this thread back to the top.
313 days until we leave for Miniss Lake with Slate Falls Outposts. It's going to be a long *** winter!

Chuck

You know what Bear? I have to drive 1100 miles to get to Northwest Ontario's "Land of the fishing Giants." I just decided if I have to drive that far , I am going to stay 2 weeks. If just isn't logical to stay a week when anybody with half a brain knows you are going to get rained out 1-3 days.

Every time I read this thread I'm grateful I live in northern MN where traveling 150 miles north to lakes near the border can be done for a three-day weekend. We can leave at 7 am and be fishing on Lac Suel in the afternoon. We have some very good local lakes too. I have a trip coming up next week to the Canadian side of Rainy Lake and then look forward for ice in January for some lake trout fishing.

227 days to Wine Lake. Its gonna be a long winter. Fortunately, I am still on the high from our fall trip through Mattice to Luella Lake. However, it is fading fast....
