Magnifier maybe

Case No!

The soft cases IMHO are very very cumbersome to fish with. I use a bucket for travel protection that is the same diameter as a 5 gallon but is shorter, not sure of the # gallons. I snap the top on and my FLX28 is protected much better than the soft case. If you can get the FL8 with the ProPack or Ultra pack they fit perfectly into a 5 gallon bucket. Lots of guys use the bucket to walk out on the ice with all their tackle, rods and use a seat on top. Just my .02$

The VX-1i has a 5 foot bottom zoom as well and is cheaper than the VX-3, at least up here in Canada.

Bucket idea is alright, sucks for hole hopping though.

I own a Showdown. 1/2" target separation, bottom lock zoom, variable zoom.

Simple to use, dependable.

Love my showdown. Got mine when they came out as the Aqua-Vu VPG. then Marcum bought them. My son started vice fishing this year and he uses it while I use my Lowrance Elite-5 from my boat. We both prefer the Showdown...even though the Elite-5 is color.

Sincerely,
