I don't think you are going to see much for deals on these new units for awhile.

I'm just struggling with the big price difference between the 9 and 10. I get it that a bigger screen costs more but $400 more for 1" of screen otherwise its the same unit.

Yep 1shooter same problem here, I would actually like the 9 better if the unit itself was not the exact same size as the 10. I think the pixel count might be higher on the 10, but that 1 inch of blank boarder looks wrong to me, but for $400 bucks I can't decide.

The 10 used to have a better transducer as well; which was a bulk of the price difference I thought.

Sounds like your a hummingbird guy already but if your not Cabela's is running a sale on HDS 9's. 899$ from 1299$. Just throwing it out there.

Not only is the Helix 10 screen bigger than the 9, but it has more pixels per square inch. Better detail on the display.

Nope. Exactly the same except for the 1" bigger screen.
