74,
You don't have to modify your cover with wave wackers.

Just take the wackers off of your boat before you travel. It only takes about 2 minutes for off or on.

I never leave my wackers on the boat when traveling.

Also, any time that I am on a "smaller" lake where I am not concerned with bigger waves, I never put the wackers on the boat.

Be safe

p.s.
Always a good idea to have several spare wacker mounting bolts, so if one gets lost or misplaced, you will have a spare.

I was wondering about the brackets that mount to the boat that hold them not the Wacker's themselves. My cover fits pretty tight against the transom. Thanks for the tip I will get some extra ones when I place my order.

How far do the brackets go down the backside of the transom? "? My cover doesn't go very far down the transom.

I would doubt very much if the mounting brackets for the splash shields would cause any issues.

They only stick out about 3/4 of an inch.

The brackets are on each side of the transom opening on the side and come down about 1-2 inches below the top edge of the transom.

I can't imagine a cover that would not accomodate this slight space.

Be safe

The cover fits between the WW and above the brackets.
