Default Jack Plate for 620FS

Getting ready to order a new 620FS. Other than for top end speed and the ability to lift the motor straight up in shallow water what are the benefits of a jack plate? Don't really care a lot about top speed. I normally fish big water and it is hard to get up to WOT except a few times a year.

Shallow water maneuverability due to the ability to lift the motor up without trimming it up - leading to a greater % of thrust in the direction of that the motor is pointing.

4 blades perform better. They like to be high for speed and you can lower when you need more bite. I would never be without one. Launch and load easily without trimming motor.

Fractionally better MPG, the ability to find the sweet spot in motor height for every load and weather situation, better hole shot and rough weather handling.

I like it because I will switch props a lot depending on what I am doing (tubing, cruising with 8 people, loaded heavy for canada, etc).

I am also ordering a 620fs with a 250 verado and 6" atlas jackplate. What height are you guys running the jackplate at? Do you keep it in the same position always (besides when in shallow water)? Or do you raise it up during the holeshot and running on plane? Thanks in advance.

Most have a blinker style switch on the steering wheel and as they take off they raise the engine slowly and trim.
