Default Black Bear Lodge 2014?

http://www.fishblackbear.com/index.htm

Last year was my first trip to BBL, I am willing to give this place another try! Mike Kansas and I had a good first trip to Red Lake! We were there in mid-August, sunny, 70 and very little breeze the week we were there. The bite was early and later in the day. Each day we found more spots for walleyes and each day we caught more than the day before!
The cabin we had a screened in porch, the lodge was nice and the center for the fishing lies that we love to tell. The meal plan was good homestyle cooking, pack a lunch to take with you on he boat, or grab a shore lunch kit!
Mike and I are looking to see if we can put another trip together, let one of us know if your interested!

This is a worthwhile trip. Last August when Dave and I fished there the general fishing conditions were poor with sun and flat water but we still managed to catch a fair amount of eyes with some nice fish included. The service, lodging and food was great when you consider a week of fishing with amercian plan meals at $590.

We learned a lot about the lake and I'm sure that the spots we found will always hold fish in the time period of mid July through mid September.

Keep in contact with wallydave if you are interested. I know I will.

Mike Kansas

Default Open Dates BBL

Here is the latest From BBL. June 28-July 26th is wide open! July 26-Aug 2 has a group of 25 coming. From Aug 2-16th, they are wide open!
This year the week of Aug 10-16 was stable weather, sunny and 70, very little wind. About 20 guys in camp, the bite was early in the day and picked up again after dinner.
I'm open to any of these dates. Let me know if your interested! Dave

Default Game on!?

Right now it looks like a group of 3-4 will be on Red Lake, fishing out of Black Bear Lodge the week of Aug. 2nd. Still plenty of lake to call your own!

If things work out, we are looking at a group of 5-6 now. Still time and space available.

You guys hit any musky's? I think you were going to try for some?

I'd like to get back up there too, but I can't commit till the boat thing gets figured out.

Al, we tried a day on Flat Lake, nothing at all. Some of the guys at camp that are repeat customers said the lake hasn't produced much in recent years.
