The rock creek north road was in really good condition. the best northern fishing was any were the water temp was 49 degrees in the back of the bays, When id find a bait ball id just sit off them and cast swim baits and hang on.

Depends on what part of the lake. We've always had better success on smallmouth in the Big Dry Arm. We catch a lot fewer smallmouth out of Hellcreek.

We were just up last week, 2 days on the dam and 2 days out of Rock Creek. The dam was slow for everthing except northerns; walleyes were just starting to warm up, only caught a few; lake trout were hit and miss, caught some but nothing over 10#s; northerns were hot back in the bays. Rock Crk was decent, the guys at Nelson Crk were all running North toward Rock Crk.; walleye were slow and light bite, smallmouth and northern were good along shorelines and ridges. Water was 50-55.

Thanks for the report. Pretty much the same report I got from Clint at He11 Creek. Leaving tomorrow for Rock Creek, 2/12 days there and 1 1/2 days at He11 Creek. I'll report back next week.

Rock Creek was busy. Holiday weekend and plus alot of boats pre-fishing for this weekends tournament. Wasn't targeting Eyes specifically. Heard the night bite for Eyes was hot but didn't go out at night. Could be rumor. Anyway, Couple decent days for the Smallies. You had to work to get away from the crowds. After 2 days, we left for Heck Creek. 3rd Morning was decent but had to run back to dock at lunch for a trolling motor recharge and check in at our cabin plus a hot shower. Went back out in the Pm and did really well. Nothing big , just 1-3 lb'rs but fun. Had to leave next morning due to rain and wind. Overall did decent. Biggest was 3-11 for the weekend. did see some big girls on beds. Hopefully they will be off their beds this week. Leaving tomorrow Am for 5 days this time. Tight Lines!

Talked to my buddy at Peck last night. Rock Creek tournament was last weekend. 47 lbs. won it. He fished yesterday in the dam area and got a 30.5 in. female on a Flicker Shad that had not spawned.

Came back a week ago. Fished 4 1/2 days Caught a variety every day w/ some days over 50 fish a day. Mostly smallies but some Eyes and northerns mixed in. The last full day we absolutely crushed them. Eyes, smallies and northerns mixed to together. Caught my PB 5 fish limit of smallies. 19lbs. Had to leave due to a big storm but we left them biting. We launched out of Helll Creek. We went west for 2 days and east for 2 days. Caught fish in both directions. Reports I heard at the dock were that fishing was getting better and everybody was catching fish.
