Default NWT out of Huron now?

The NWT site now says that they are launching out of Huron instead of Sandusky.
Anyone know the story behind the switch?

I heard they are headquartering at Sawmill Creek, and the competitors will use the launch at Huron.

Really?? Wonder why the change if its true.. Makes for longer run for 98% of the field who will run West.. Not to mention 150 plus boats jammed up in the river and wonder if parking will be an issue..

Launching a ton of boats is easy at Huron, tons of parking available, lots of room in river, 100+ boats out of there is easy. FAR better than any ramp west of Huron that's for sure.

No, have a baby due this summer, vacation time is at a premium and with it being during the week that makes it even tougher.

Last year we had over 150 boats.. Never fished a large event out of Huron but have used the ramp plenty.. Just seems like a lot of rigs for launching there.. Maybe and hopefully I am wrong..
