HB 858DI Transducer

I hooked my HB 858DI up to the universal 2 sonar on my MK Terrova, went into the set up screen and set it up for universal 2 sonar, works great, but will i damage the HB 858DI running on u2 sonar??

No, but you will not get any DI using the 858DI in this configuration.

I had mine set up with the 2D hooked up to the US2 and the DI transducer is at the stern...rarely look at the DI from the bow. Maybe I will when vertical jigging this winter...for me it was a little overkill.

The 858 di /958 di / 1158 di is safe to connect to the universal sonar 2 as long as you change the transducer select to the Universal Sonar 2 mode.

Thanks everyone for the information. I was hoping it would be ok to run off the U2 sonar. I will put the HB DI transducer back on as soon as i figure how to run the cord so it dosen't wrap around the Terrova shaft when i am using the anchor mode on the I-Pilot
