Default crestliner 12/24v

me again with my 1850 raptor question...

i installed my 2 trolling motor batteries to power my 24v minn kota.

do i have to manually wire the batteries for 24v or is the wiring in the boat setup already for 24 at the bow?

it's a marinco connect pro plug recepticle. i see only two wires in, going to holes 1 and 3. i measured the voltage there and it's only 12. i thought it would be 24...

figured it out.

there are 2 wiring harnesses under the rod locker for the batteries. i assumed they were both for the bow trolling motor batteries and wired appropriately to give 24v at the bow. that's how it was in my '05 Princecraft Super Pro 186 and in my '07 Smokercraft Millentia 192.

Turns out one harness is for the rear trolling motor plug and the other is for the bow, so i basically wired 2 12v plugs instead of 1 24v.

So, yes I had to wire the batteries in series myself. All good.

Below is the link for the Marinco plug wiring diagram.
You need to connect the #1 and #2 terminals.

Yours was connected to the #1 and #3 terminals.
Did you change the plug wiring as well as putting the batteries in-serie?
