Doenanyone use thsi stuff. I found it at my local Walmart for $5.49 per quart. Any opinions on this product. It's about 1/3 the price as the Mercury stuff. I chenge my hear lube every year so i was thinking of switching to this.

Default penzoil

It is all I ever used in my '83 50 merc, and a '96 60 merc. No problems whatsoever.

A couple of years ago, I read a report where they compared all the top gear lubes. Pennzoil came out near the top.

Here is the gear lube report that tested different makes using standard testing procedures both with and without water in the oil.

Default Lube

Penzoil is all i have been using for my lower unit for the past 20 years. It also is the synthetic 2 stroke oil I used for the 60 horse motor I had for 16 years.
I now use the lower unit lube in my Suzuki DF140.
Excellent products.

Is the pennzoil gear lube specifically for marine applications?
