Good inputs today. The pro-v I rode in went 62 loaded at the rev limiter. The guys buddy went 65 in his pro-v with the right prop loaded. So I'm optimistic my Tyee can match that with the right combo. And "they" say the Tyee is Lund's fastest.

Al heads, exhaust, and block on the way. Should be a good winter project. Bravo XR by next spring.

Any experience with transom stiffening? Thinking of fabricating brackets top to bottom each side of the inner gimbal ring, tie to the top bolts (top of ring is torqueing aft under load) on the ring and carry load to the top of the transom and maybe all the way across to each side. Bottom of the ring force is compressing inward and is not a problem. Should be a good excuse to have fun with my Lincoln AC Tig

Any MEs or good mechanical craftsmen out there?

I have an '06 Tyee 1950 with a 225 E-tec HO (High Output), which is the equivalent of about 250 hp (at least that is what they tell me.)

Best I ever got out of her was, WOT cranking about 5600 rpms and 58 mph - GPS -- me and the wife and about a half tank of gas, a little chop, running with the wind. I have an aluminum prop, and my brother tells me if I went to SS I could top 60+....but I mostly run it about 40-45 mph anyway, so who cares?

I run my motor based on the sound....and at 4500 rpm, on good trim it just purrs....sounds like it is hardly working, and I get great fuel economy.

Shedding a few hundred lbs certainly makes a difference. Thanks!

ECU, Aluminum short block and heads all arrived. Alum exhaust manifolds as well. ECU is MSPro. The ECU is fairly straight forward but still looking at timing synch for crank and distributer. Lucked out on the ebay donovan alum short block designed for 8000+ rpm. Came with 20cc dishes. Coupled with the 64 cc brodix heads should be around 10:1 compression for the 412 ci repower. Now for the roller cam, which is currently a huge mech with .45" lobes (.7 + valve lift). Now....what should I spec for a hydraulic roller in mind regrind???

Tyeegs,

What is going to happen to your outdrive when you go and put a huge HP increase in the engine compartment.

Will the outdrive and gear box hold up to the power?

Be safe
