What a waste of SD Tourism Dollars
Wow. That many teams. Seems to me like the first year of this was the biggest and since then everything has gone straight downhill. I understand that the State gives tourism dollars for this event, and three boats in the tourney were South Dakota boats, so that means they attracted few fisherman. Either this is not being run properly, not enough advertising, which would translate into not being run properly. I had no clue they were running a separate tournament from the AIM event. Somebody dropped the ball. IMHO

If you are reading about this now, you should have seen the post on here about the tournament. It is not a poorly run tournament, and another correction for you, they are not receiving funds from the state for this any longer. I guess the one thing you did get right is there was not alot of teams entered. I can't give you an answer to that question. To speak for myself I would have fished it if my partner would have been able to, but I still went to the weigh in on Saturday.

Just Sayin
Ok. yeah it was only an opinion. My point was that I fished this tourney the first year it then changed to the AIM format. Had I known I would have fished this year. Which post about the tournament? I did not see this. Also I have no clue how the tournament was run. I was referring to how it was promoted. Meaning I would have certainly fished this had I known. No harm meant. Only wanting to let them know that I will be looking for this event next year. I missed it.

Bash
I have never fished an AIM tourney. Nor did I bash or say one thing bad about them. They are a great organization. I just like to fish smaller tournaments that I can afford. AIM is outta my league and out of what I can afford to pay to fish.

Gotta love it...all someone has to do is mention AIM in a sentence and the immediate knee-jerk reaction is that the person is slamming the thing.
