I've fished Kab the last two years around early June, but am planning a late September turn-around for some walleye. Has anyone fished it during that time (Fall) and are there any secret and or common locations / techniques to try?
Thanks for any advice in advance. |

I fished Kab in September a couple of years ago. Deep water structure with jigs or rigs were best. Minnows on the jigs,,leeches, crawlers, or minnows on the rigs. Fire-Ball jigs, quarter or 3/8's ounce, in glow colors were most productive. We fished the deep water areas,,,,25-30 feet deep, within a couple of miles from the government dock. Cruise the deep areas with a close eye on your depth-finder,,,don't stop until you see fish.
Kab is an outstanding lake, lots of big fish, but also plenty of eaters. One of my all-time favorite lakes. Have a good trip,,,let us know how you do. Best Fishes, Bob Jensen |
