Kicker motor bracket for Trophy 2052

I've got a 21'7" Trophy (model 2052), model year 2000 I/O. I'm thinking about mounting a kicker motor, and was wondering if anybody has had any experience with different motor mount brackets.

I have a RemoteTroll swim ladder type bracket with electric steering via a 20' cord. Has a plate that the kicker attaches to, you screw down the tension screw so the motor remains straight and the plate swivels to steer the motor. You can go to their site, remotetroll.com, I think, and take a look. I have had the swim ladder type for five years on my last boat and it's now sitting in my storage waiting for someone to take it off my hands. Try the site and see if there is anything there that would fit your desires.

Thanks for responding. My boat doesn't have a swim ladder, so I don't believe the one you have would work for me. Thanks for the info about this company, tho'. It looks like a good system.

I tried the retractable kicker mounts and found them too hard to deploy in rough seas, what worked for me was a fabricated aluminum rectangle shape that mounted the kicker far enough away from the transom that it could be tilted up when under way. It's rock solid and cuts down on noise from vibration, also added a trollmaster pro3 for speed control and panther t4 for steering.

bridgeman, that's kinda what the remotetroll does. It has a plate that contacts the transom or swim ladder type mount and then a triangular bracket that puts the motor a ways from the transom. Very easy to tilt the motor up when running in the water and down when you want to use it. Has its own steering process with an electric motor, steering cables or pistons and 20' power cord. Might even have true remote steering by now.
