Electric fillet knives
What is your favorite electric fillet knife? I have ran quite a few of these and havent found one that lasts very long. The problem I run into is when I do clean fish its usually a bunch. The knife seems to get hot and I am burning up the plastic oblong gear that makes the blade go back and forth. I am curious what the other fisherman like, I know some of the guides out there have to have a favorite as much as you guys clean fish.

I have an American Angler that has cleaned hundreds of fish. It to will heat up if you have a large amount to clean, but is still going strong after 6 years. You may want to try a GE that you can purchase at the grocery store for carving turkey. They are usually about half price of the ones at the sporting goods store.

I use a cheap presto electric carving/bread knife. Pretty inexpensive at a discount or thrift store . It has held up well and, i think, has better ergonomics than some of the filet specific knives ive used that have been easy for me to bump the blade release

Rapala fish taker aparter
the new Rapala Lithium Cordless is an awesome tool. I have had the cord version for a couple of years with no complaints.
Cordless is VERY handy. Norm

Berkley Lithium Ion rechargable has served me well for the past 2yrs. The charge lasts me for 10 walleyes and 50 perch. Might get a 110v one for when I need to clean fish at home. I still use the trusty old knife for zippering.

I have a Rapala corded fillet knife. Works well for me. My only complaint is warping up the cords and getting them to fit back into the case is a pain. Other than that it's pretty slick.

I've had a few burn up getting too hot and I just had an American Angler have the trigger malfunction.
