Default Bow Step

Has anyone made a step that attaches to the trailer up by the bow? I fish alone most of the time and putting my new ranger on the trailer, it would be nice to have a step from the boat to the tongue. I saw a few on the market, but i am not willing to spend $3-400 for that convenience? Let me know.
Thanks

DG,
Go to a welding shop that welds aluminum. Have them weld one up for you that you can bolt to the frame of your trailer.

Take care

For many trailers, this step will work fine and be tall enough.

Check out Ezee Step ( http://www.ezeestep.com/ ). They are pricey but I really like the idea. I to fish alone alot and am considering putting these on my rig.

I fish by myself 85% of the time. Here's one that I made for my Ranger 1860. As you can see, it has a vertical bar to hold onto along with two steps. I attached it by slipping it between the bracket for the winch & the vertical support post. Just like walking down stairs right into my truck bed...

I got this one. Painted it white to match my trailer, and it works just fine.

cousin

I like it, with one major exception, I think the top needs a handle or something flat. All I see is potential for IMPALEMENT when I look at it in its current form!

Just bought the Northern Tool version:

Similar to the Cabelas design, but half the price while on sale, in aluminum. I haven't received it so I can't give an evaluation, but I don't see how one could go wrong with this one step design.

DW, I'd be interested in reading a review after you receive your step.
