Took some Pic of our Minn DNR gathering eggs and molt form Leech Lk Walker, MN

53" Muskie on the left DNR stripping the eggs. On the right 2nd Pic notice the hook marks in the upper Jaw. I think I need to go Muskie fishing soon. 3RD Pic getting the eggs

Good pics! Did you just happen to be there out of circumstance, or did you get to go out with them to gather?? Do they use elctro-shocking to gather the musky broodstock?

Got to go out with our DNR folks here in Oklahoma a few years back on an elctro-shocking trip to gather female Striper and male White Bass for the making of the Hybrid Stripers. That was a fun day, but it was "WORK" too!

They use big trap nets then go to the resort and do the work. They do this two miles from my house. That day they had 15 Muskies to get eggs from. I didnt help. The add some chemical to the tank to calm the fish down.
