Default Any opinions?

Just wondering if anyone has used the oval type split rings, and if so, how do you like them? I'm considering using them for trolling cranks. Hope this isn't a dumb question. Thanks ahead of time-

I think Rattletraps come with the oval split ring. Personally, I like them. Your line tie is at the top of the oval, and isn't subject to getting caught at the split, like what happens with a round ring.

Thanks shell- I'm setting up a new trolling program this year: boards n' cranks. I'll be using Shad Raps, deep husky jerks, etc., plus assorted others. I'm thinking of using oval types on all of them. They seem like a good design. Wondering why they're not standard issue from the factory.

Most likely cost. Did you find a source for them, I might like to change all my lures over also.

Shell- Netcraft sells them, as does tacklewarehouse.com - TW sells cheaper Eagle Claw as well as higher quality ones made by Worth mfg., which as more expensive, but made from magnesium alloy with a zinc coating. I'm thinking of making the switch, too. Search Results
