Default Livewell switch

Hi,
On the crestliner 202 ts there is a switch for the livewell that has empty, recirc and auto. I know what the empty and recirc are for, but what does the auto do? I played around with it yesterday and cannot figure out what the auto is for. This was all done in the driveway.
Thanks.

It will automatically turn the live well on and off every few minutes (not sure what the time interval is) so it does not have to run continually. That's the setting you'll be using most of the time when on the water.
