Mounting Lowrance Structure Scan

I have some questions on mounting the Lowrance Structure side/scan. I am mounting it on a tiller model boat. Where do i mount it on the transon? Will the motor get in the way of the bracket and ducer sending signals side ways or on down scan? Any other tips you may have would be appreciated.
