Default Ranger Trailer Leaf Springs Bottoming Out

I have an 2003 620 with a tandem trailer that looks like it is bottoming out the ends of the leaf springs on the trailer frame. I am planning to replace the hardware do I need to replace the springs to? Do I have to get the parts from Ranger or is there a better place?

Also, is there a pin on the axle that fits into a hole on the new springs so I don't have to try to align the axles?

Default springs

i have a ranger 692vs and one of the springs lost its tension-- i am replacing the springs-- all the items you need to do this sort of repair can be bought at a local parts store --- it is best to take the whole spring in so they can measure the arc and the length-- chances are all you will need to do this job is a good floor jack and wrenches----

I would suggest that you go to your local trailer shop and have them look at it and fix it.

But, before you go, load up your rig, as if you were taking it out on the road and then take the loaded trailer to a scale and weigh the loaded rig.

It is quite possible that the springs that came with the trailer were inadequate to support the loads that you were placing on the springs.

Take care
