Default Francis Case (7/22) pease creek area

Was supposed to sneak in a trip with my pop, but he called and canceled last minute because he had some sort of a bug. Wife suggested taking the little girls for a more pleasure than fishing trip. Well we ended up finding a couple pockets where walleyes were hanging around bait balls. Managed to scratch out a really good batch of fish while taking nice swimming breaks. The 8 year old lost a 30 inch+ pike at the boat. She loved it! Handled it all by herself with zero assistance. The pikes final run cut the line but still she got to see it twice. Normally we would have let the bigger walleye (24.5 incher go) but nearly 100 degrees and the little girls playing a part in getting the fish in we decided to keep it. Ended up keeping 3 under 15 to fill out the limit but had a great time on the water! Still waiting to here when I will be moving so every Monday/Tuesday that I am still here I try to get out. I am so going to miss South Dakota but look forward to discovering what Maine has to offer. Oh back to pease...live bait was 18 to 25 foot with BB and spinners or Slow Death. No real advantage to either one...plugs were boat in 15 feet but most fish coming from inside boards...so guessing 5 to 8 feet of water (including the 24.5).

Thanks for the report. We are taking the boat out this weekend and have not decided a location. That's the first time I have ever seen a fish grow in the space of 3-4 sentences

Default Problem fixed lol

Good catch!...I guess that happens when using the i-phone to enter a post on WC. Sadly the fish was 24.5 not 25.5...the original post has been corrected
