there is only a load difference of 110lbs between the two, it doesn't seem like much difference to me especially if it is going to be close on fender clearance.

MN_moose,
Out of curiosity, what was the manufacturing date of the tires that blew on your trailer.

I have had personal experience with tires blowing with excellent tread, but being older than 6 years.

Many manufacturers are recommending that tires be changed every 6 years from the date of tire manufacture - irrespective of the amount of miles run, or tread left on the tires.

Essentially, the thought is that the tires began deteriorating from the day that they are manufactured. This happens, whether the tires are shielded from the son, or whether they have a load on them or not.

Just a thought.

Take care
REW

Unfortunately, not any more. Response I received from Cooper today:

Dear HRG,

Thank you for your interest in Cooper tires. We have discontinued
manufacturing the Cooper trailer tires. We are sorry we cannot assist
you at this time.

I can't give you the exact mfg date as they're long gone but, they were put on less than three years ago. We keep discussing the possible damage leaving the boat sit on the tires in one place all winter long. We often discuss putting the boat and trailer up on jack stands and take the weight off the tires for the winter.
