I had a 200 opti on my 2012 WX1900. 53.5mph was the best I could get with a 21p tempest. The 1900 is not meant to be a speed demon. I always felt it handled rough water a little better than the 1880 hull. FYI, I did have my 2005 1880 up to 60mph with a 200 opti with a 21 tempest. Both three blades.

Mark O. That's pretty much the norm that I have heard on the 1900. I don't doubt you hit 60 on the 1880. I opened an 1880 before moving up to the 2100. They are fast boats with a sweet hull. Sub Elect I believe will get in that area as well. That is flying in a 19 footer. May I ask why you went from an 1880 to the 1900?

skeeter11,
I was on Skeeter's pro staff for almost 10 years. Had 3 1880's, 1900 and an 1850. I've ran a 200 opti, 175 opti, 200 Verado, and 150 EFI fourstroke. I fish mainly Winnebago and sometimes, the Bay of Green Bay. Always wanted a bigger boat, but could never justify the cost. I am proof that you don't really need a 20ft boat, but if you can afford it, I say go for it. I'll just stick to my 18-19 footers. And yes, 60 in the 1880 was very fast. I had perfect conditions that morning and had it trimmed up to what I would call an unsafe trim level. If I hit a wave wrong or anything like that, I would have been SOL. Average speed was 58mph for sure though. FYI, the 200 Vrod was about 5mph slower on the exact same hull. Still was fun to run the verado for a couple years. My favorite engine by far, was the Merc 150 EFI 4-stroke.

I run a skeeter wx1880 and a 200 hpdi. It runs 59 mph all day long. I love the boat, but it has taken some serious set-up time. It has run a best of 61.3 mph.

That being said, I dont think a 1900 will run those speeds, but I think it is a better riding 19 footer than the 1880.

Mark O. I completely understand about the costs associated going to the bigger boat. I went to it due to the wife and two kids. We spenlst every weekend camping/fishing etc. if it were just me and another guy or two I would have definitely considered keeping my 1880. These Skeeter boats are awesome boats with nice hulls, at the year models we have. I am not a big fan of the new hull design. In fact I beleive the new hull has possibly made a better demand for our hulls. Most of my other Skeeter buddies feel the same. I wouldn't mind hearing your in put on Skeeters new hull.
