Default DO it live bait mold except with a swivel???

Has anyone here tried using the live bait mold except adding a swivel instead of the insert? so you could use a 00 blade instead of a stinger hook? Been doing some experimenting and tryign to come up with a way to do this here is what i did as a work around but i dont like the length the extra split rings add... suggestions?

I take it that's a small split ring. What size jig, split ring and blade? Have you check the action on using a split ring? Wasn't sure myself about that way.

the top photo is a size zero split ring with a size 12 crane swivel another size zero split ring with a 00 colorado blade...

the second pic is a size 10 crane swivel that was poured into the live bait jig in place of the size 0 insert. with a size zero split ring and a 00 colorado blade.

both rotate fine under water, the smallest jig you can make with these is 1/4oz though cause of the swivel size. this is the exact same jig that cabelas sells:

just hand made

Thanks for the info. Been kicking it around about buying that mold and I think you sold me. I'm kind of leaning towards the second one. Nice work!!
